About the Installation Script:
The CySight installation script is designed for secure, self-contained deployments and is packaged entirely with RPM-based dependencies. It supports air-gapped environments and is ideal for hardened, minimal installations of supported Linux platforms. All necessary application and service bundles (MySQL, Tomcat, flow engine components, and supporting services) are included in the installer archive as outlined in the Installation Instructions.
This approach allows organizations to deploy CySight on their own vetted and hardened systems, with zero reliance on external repositories during the installation process. The installer applies optimized system configurations, registers services, and sets up firewall, logging, and auto-recovery processes—all aligned with best-practice architecture for observability and compliance environments.

It is optimized for fast rollout while reducing the system's attack surface, making it ideal for organizations seeking a clean, production-ready deployment with minimal setup.
The OVA is well-suited for lab environments, proof-of-concept testing, or virtualized production use cases where VMware or KVM platforms are available. It is particularly valuable for users who prefer not to manually install and configure dependencies or build their own hardened OS environment.
For deployments requiring complete control over system hardening, network stack customization, or compliance with air-gapped environments, the standalone installer is recommended instead.
